Auto Club Speedway Fire Safety Team

Welcome to the Auto Club Speedway Fire Safety Team. Our team has more than 160 members, drawn from fire agencies throughout Southern California. Our mission for the safety team is "To deliver our competitors, guests and co-workers, the highest level of professional fire and rescue services, while at the Auto Club Speedway."

We supply fire protection for the Auto Club Speedway on more than 250 days per year. During this next year, some of these activities include 2 major NASCAR weekends which include NSCS, NNS, and NCTS events. We are also planning on having the AMA Superbike Series for 2009. We support numerous racing schools and race teams throughout the year, as they prepare for future events at our facility.

Our members come from a variety of life experiences in the fire service. The majority are currently employed as full-time firefighters from more than 25 different fire departments. The rest of our team comes from those personnel who have recently retired from the fire service with many years of experience, or recent graduates from fire academies. Our members are required to be available for our major events and annual training. We also ask our members, if available, to assist with rental and/or other racing programs on a monthly basis.

We are now in the process of gathering applications from firefighters who are interested in this exciting part-time employment opportunity as a member of our team. If you are a highly motivated active or retired firefighter, and looking to continue to use your firefighting skills in a part time job, we would like to have you on our team. You can download an application by clicking on the "Fire Safety Team Application" link below.
